David H. Wice is one of two lifetime-members of the Fels Board, having served since 1982 and as Board Chair from 2004-2006. Born in Omaha, Nebraska David has lived in the Philadelphia area since 1947. David practiced law from 1964 to his retirement in 2018. His practice centered on estate planning and the administration of estates and trusts.
David’s dedication to community is evident from his volunteer service that dates back to 1964. A sampling of his board commitments includes Fellowship House, United Way, Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Rosenbach Museum and Library, Road Scholar (formerly Elderhostel): national board 1993-1999 and 2007-2013, Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center, President 2001-2004.
David is a miniature book collector. He enjoys dining, travel, movies and drama, spectator sports and crossword puzzles. Married to Betsy who is a retired Philadelphia teacher, and parent of two Philadelphia public school graduates, he is a strong supporter and advocate for public education in Philadelphia.
