Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
First Step Staffing employs those who struggle to break their own cycles of poverty, giving preference to people who have recently experienced homelessness, served in the military, or been incarcerated. The organization provides wrap-around services including extensive coaching, transportation and housing assistance.
Why we funded
- This on-ramp to employment provides opportunity and access for large numbers of people who face multiple hurdles to rebuilding their lives, and they address those intersectional challenges in practical and compassionate ways
- This company may be one of many services that reduces homelessness in Philadelphia and provides short- and long-term employment.
