PA is Ready! grantmaking committee
The Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition coordinates PA is Ready!, an innovative, community-led, capacity building initiative and grants program. PA is Ready! builds solidarity among immigrant-led community-based organizations by bringing leadership training, information and legal services to help these organizations protect and defend their communities from increased immigration enforcement.
Why we funded
- This is a way to reach some of Philadelphia’s smaller, immigrant-led grassroots organizations who work in our priority areas and might never apply to Fels Fund directly
- PA is Ready! builds solidarity across organizations, strengthening the fabric of immigrant rights organizing overall
- They put grant-making decisions in the hands of those most adversely affected by anti-immigrant policies and enforcement
