HIAS stands for a world in which refugees find welcome, safety and freedom. The organization works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands because of who they are, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. Through innovative community-based programs focused on legal protection, psychosocial support and livelihoods assistance, HIAS PA resettles refugees in Philadelphia and helps them utilize their inherent capabilities to improve their lives.
